Declared a doctor of the church, St. Anthony was known to be an eloquent speaker and teacher.  A book of psalms he made to teach was stolen by a young novice who left the Franciscan hermitage.  St. Anthony prayed for its recovery.  The thief returned the book and to the order as well.  He is typically depicted with a book.  St. Anthony is the patron of lost things and is credited around the world with many miracles involving lost people, lost things, and lost spiritual goods.  (Feast Day: June 13th)
